This beautiful and iconic room divider - highly suitable for breakout and office spaces - has won the coveted Greeen GOOD DESIGN™ award granted by the European Center for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies and the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design. The original award was founded in Chicago in 1950 by such pioneers in modern design as Charles and Ray Eames, Russel Wright, George Nelson and Eero Saarinen, as well as by the former MoMA curator Edgar Kaufmann, Jr.
Eero Aarnio describes the birth of The Tree as follows: “The Tree is like many other products I have designed – part functional object, part sculpture. It functions as a space divider and a decoration, of course, but clever users will surely find other uses for it, such as a coat rack.
