Company Profile
Since 1989, when the company formed a new strategy and business idea, the aim for design, quality and distinctiveness has become even more important when developing new products.
Olav Eldøy is the designer behind our latest furniture series; Dina. His style has references from the 1930-60 Scandinavian Design and Art Deco furniture; a style dominated by simple lines and large round arches.
Flame birch is also the material used in the new furniture series. It has become the trademark of Stryn Møbelindustri, and Olav Eldøy has taken advantage of its strengths through the aestetic lines that can be found in his furniture. All of our furniture is produced entirely in Stryn (Norway). This is to achieve the high-quality our customers deserve.

Olav Eldøy was born in 1948, and was educated at the Bergen Academy of Arts. He has worked for several Norwegian furniture producers, and also has experience from the international furniture industry. Eldøy has received many awards for his work and held several exhibitions. Growing up close to nature has made it hard for Eldøy to draw straight lines, something which is reflected in the Dina series' organic shape. The surroundings from his childhood in the 1960's have also been a great source of inspiration.
