Gramrode Møbelfabrik was founded in 1924. From the beginning the production was mostly easy chairs and sofas with visible wooden frames. In 1960 the production of dining room furniture in solid wood based on a unique mix of workmanship and design started. In the following years the company has succeeded in developing a comprehensive range of chairs and tables, which today is being exported all over the world. It takes precision and professional skills to manufacture furniture in solid hardwood. Our cabinet-makers know how to use their crafts and put an honour in keeping up the best traditions from the classic cabinet maker skill.
Gramrode Møbelfabrik has in several years worked together with the architects Søren Nissen and
Ebbe Gehl MDD.
Søren Nissen and Ebbe Gehl are both trained cabinet-makers from Rud. Rasmussens joiner´s shops in Copenhagen and then they graduated as designers from the School for Design. The following years they worked at different architect offices and design schools here and abroad. In 1970
Søren Nissen and Ebbe Gehl entered into partnership with each other as furniture designers.
A partnership, which since has been very creative and productive. Highly processed wooden products have been characteristic for their design.
Best known designs from Søren Nissen and Ebbe Gehl are the "Naver Collection". The
"Naver Collection" is a complete range of furniture for all the rooms in a home.
Naver Collection is a co-operation between 2 furniture factories Gramrode Møbelfabrik A/S and Aksel Kjersgaard A/S
